Sandra Lee and Karen Graham in SAIT's School of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) put out a call for must-read books; memorable, all-time favourites, or recent favourites. Their colleagues in ICT, the School of Business, CORE, and the Reg Erhardt Library purchased or donated gently used copies of more than 100 children's, teen, and adult fiction and non-fiction books. Brian McDonald, an instructor in GCPT, printed bookplates commemorating the centennial celebration and included the donor's first name, which were inserted into each book. The children and teen books are being donated to the Alberta Children's Hospital, while the adult books will be donated to Ronald McDonald House.
